Jon Voight seen Christmas shopping for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitts brood

The Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt crew will be having a great Christmas with special thanks to grandpa Jon Voight.

The Academy Award winner was spotted at a Toys R Us in Century City, Calif., the other night, shutting down the store with just one other holiday shopper.

Jon was the last customer, along with one young woman, an eyewitness tells us. He was Christmas shopping for his grandkids. He was ordering tons of gifts for Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne all of Angelinas kids. Wisely, as any parent knows, he was also buying tons of batteries to go with them.

The Midnight Cowboy star, 73, even extended the holiday generosity to the other late-night customer by courteously allowing her to skip him in line.

The lady behind him was being ignored by the sales team and was carrying more toys than she could handle, our spy says. So Jon helped her put them on the register belt and insisted she go before him. Then he and his girlfriend peered to see what she was buying, to make sure he had all the hottest toys.

Without ruining too many surprises for Jolie and Pitts clan, our spy says the goodies Voight picked included a foosball game and a Little Mermaid bath set with a tail that wags.

Voight previously had a contentious relationship with his famous daughter, Angelina, but they patched things up and reconciled last year. Being reunited with my Angie is very precious to me, Voight said. And he seems to be taking his grandfathering duties seriously, judging by his LA shopping excursion.

But its unclear when the proud grandpa will be able to give his gifts to Jolies brood. According to a report, the Mr. & Mr! s. Smith stars are celebrating the holidays with a family trip around the globe. Meanwhile, Jolie and Pitt were also reportedly stocking up on Liverpool soccer gear for their kids because Maddoxs favorite player is Steven Gerrard and the familys become fans of the squad.
