'World War Z': Brad Pitt zombie apocalypse movie debuts new image

A new still from apocalyptic horror World War Z has been released online.

The Marc Forster-directed movie - based on Max Brooks's best-selling novel World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War - stars Brad Pitt as Gerry Lanes, a UN employee trying to stop the outbreak of a deadly zombie pandemic.

The newly-released image from USA Today shows a crowd of people - including Pitt and his on-screen family - rushing down a city street away from an unseen threat.

The film also stars Mireille Enos (The Killing) as Pitt's wife, as well as Eric West, Matthew Fox (Lost), David Morse and James Badge Dale.

World War Z opens in cinemas in June.
