London, May 12 : Brad Pitt is tipped to play Paddy Doherty in a movie based on the life of the bare-knuckle fighter.

Doherty, who won 'Celebrity Big Brother' has just released his autobiography, 'Hard Knocks ! And Soft Spots', and talks are underway to turn it into a movie.

Hollywood heart-throb Pitt, 48, who played prize-fighting gypsy Mickey O'Neil in the 2000 Guy Ritchie film 'Snatch', is said to be in talks to play the role.

"It's a fascinating story and will translate really well into a film," the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

"Paddy knows that Brad Pitt is interested after playing a traveller in Snatch.

"My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding is shown in the US and Brad has seen it.

"Paddy would love Brad to play him in a Hollywood film. It could well catapult him into a global superstar," the source added.

In the book the 53-year-old winner of the Channel 5 reality show writes: "I've cheated death many times."

Doherty, who had an ear bitten off in a street fight with rival gypsies, goes into stomach-churning detail.

"Blood would flow freely and bones would get broken," he wrote. (ANI)
