Brad Pitt to Star in 'World War Z' - Will 2013 Be His Biggest Year Yet?
It's finally here. The trailer for "World War Z" was officially released recently giving fans a preview of what's in store for their beloved zombie book turned film. Brad Pitt will be the movie's leading star and honestly, we think he's looking better than ever.
Brad will play the main character, Gerry Lane, alongside stars including Matthew Fox and Eric West. "World War Z" is slated to release next summer and is already considered one of the most anticipated summer 2013 blockbusters. This will be a big film for Brad but that's not the only movie he'll star in next year.
"Voyage of Time"
In "Voyage of Time" Brad will lend his voice as the narrator of the drama by Terrence Malick that examines the birth and death of the universe. Emma Thompson will also lend a helping hand in the film. Terrence and Brad have had a close relationship ever since the two worked together in the haunting film "Tree of Life."
"Twelve Years a Slave"
Next Fall we'll see Brad star in "Twelve Years a Slave" playing a leading role next to movie stars like Michael Fassbender and Benedict Cumberbatch. Directed by Steve McQueen and written by both McQueen and John Ridley, the movie is about a man living in Manhattan during the mid-1800s who is sold into slavery. The movie already has a bit of Oscar buzz. Will Brad sweep the nominations with this film?
"The Counselor"
Javiar Bardem and Michael Fassbender will star in "The Counselor" with Brad, a movie about a lawyer who finds himself in an overwhelming situation after becoming involved in drug trafficking. This sexy thriller is scheduled to release in late 2013.
Cormac McCarthy, known for his bestselling novels "The Road" and "No Country For Old Men," which were then adapted into films, wro! te the screenplay for this movie. Will his unrelenting success in both books and film make its way into "The Counselor" as well?
