Brad Pitts Fury to be released by Sony in November 2014

Brad Pitts next project is set. The Oscar nominee will be filming another World War II drama this fall titled Fury. The project was acquired by Sony on Wednesday and will be directed by David Ayer.

Just last week, it was reported that Pitt was in talks to star in the film about an American tank crew fighting the Germans during the final days of the war in 1945.

Then on Wednesday, Deadline first reported that Sony acquired the project. It will have an $80 million budget. Producer Bill Blocks QED, which had acquired the script in February, will still keep rights for some foreign territories and some of the box office revenue for itself and Pitt.

QED is producing with John Leshers Le Grisbi Prods., Ethan Smith and Alex Ott.

Ayer recently directed the police drama End of Watch with Jake Gyllenhaal. He is currently wrapping production on Ten, which stars Sam Worthington and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Thats set for a January release from Open Road.

Pitts World War Z hits theaters on June 21. Hes also completed Steve McQueens Twelve Years A Slave and Ridley Scotts The Counselor.

Production on Fury starts in September. Sony has scheduled it for a Nov. 14, 2014 release.
