Newt Gingrich -- My Hollywood Fantasy Is Brad Pitt

Image
Newt Gingrich is adamant ... Brad Pitt should play HIM if Hollywood ever made a movie about his life ... and no, that's not a typo. The Republican candidate phoned in to the Rich Stevens Radio Show today ... when he was asked, "If Hollywood was going to do a movie about your life, who would you like to see play the lead role?" Newt replied, "Oh, in my fantasy life? Brad Pitt ... why not?! Stevens quipped, "Is it because you guys look alike?" Newt fired right back. "No, I dont look like him at all. He's thinner, he's better looking, he's younger. But you asked me if I had anyone who could play me in a movie ... why not go for Brad Pitt???"

Best buddies Brad Pitt and George Clooney are going head to head on Oscar night in the best actor category. Andmany will be looking to see if the rivalry produces any cracks in their famous'bromance'. Brad nominated for his part in baseball movie Moneyball is not worried the race for the trophy will sour things between them, though. CLICK ON PHOTO FOR FULL GALLERY When asked if he was nervous about competing against his good pal, he answered: "No, no, no. George is my friend." Up until now it has looked like Mr Clooney was the front-runner for the best actor prize for his role as a wronged husband in The Descendants , after picking up a Golden Globe . But after Jean Dujardin pipped George in the SAG awards , the playing field seems level for the Academy's big night. George and Brad go way back, having been in three Ocean's films together, along with the Coen brothers' Burn After Reading and George's directorial piece Confessions of a Dangerous...

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie: Most Photographed Celeb Couple at SAG Awards 2012 (PHOTOS)

Image
By Sanskrity Sinha | Jan 30, 2012 08:07 AM EDT The 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG), held in Los Angeles on Sunday, witnessed quite a few A-list celebrities walking down the red carpet. Some of the more famous celebrities present were actors George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Octavia Spencer. While the award winners were cheered by everyone around, Hollywood's "power couple" Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie stole the show with their everlasting charm and media following. The duo seems to be the most photographed celebrity couple at any gala, much less one that honors performances in television and motion pictures across different categories. Jolie wore a floor-length black colored Jenny Packham gown that revealed her tattoos rather nicely and made her look elegant and slim, while Pitt sported a spruced look in a black suit. The couple reportedly kept holding hands and also shared kisses during the evening. Check out the pictures of "Brangelina...

Brad Pitt on "Moneyball," kids and marriage

Image
(CBS News) Brad Pitt's baseball film "Moneyball" is up for multiple Academy Awards - vindication for an actor who has gone to bat for the movie at every turn. Lee Cowan has our Sunday Profile: He's arguably one of the most famous men on the planet. Together with actress Angelina Jolie, they define "power couple." But if you think Brad Pitt always gets the star treatment, think again. Turns out when it came to the movie "Moneyball," a lot of people said NO to Brad Pitt: "Our production was like, you know, the red-headed stepchild on the lot. "This movie died on the vine, or almost died on the vine several times. Actually DID die, and we had to resuscitate it!" (Credit: Melinda Sue Gordon) He plays Billy Beane, in the true story of the general manager of the Oakland A's - a maverick who turned baseball on its head by building a team relying not on star power, but on statistics instead. Karen Dalton-Beninato: Brad Pitt and the Business of Making it Right (PHOTOS)

"Blogger Karen Dalton-Beninato sent me this beautiful picture of the project Brad Pitt is working on..." Five years ago, Arianna Huffington posted my husband's photo of pink tents in a planned green community in New Orleans. That was two years post Hurricane Katrina levee failures, and it often felt like New Orleans was stuck in neutral. It was 2007 and the 9th Ward still looked like an overgrown prairie strewn with concrete slabs, all that was left of most houses near the Industrial Canal. Residents were coming back to FEMA trailers, if they could get one, and gutted out homes. In the years since then, Make It Right NOLA has assembled a living study in sustainable architecture for returning residents. "After Hurricane Katrina, many people said the Lower 9th Ward could not be rebuilt, but the spirit of the Lower Ninth and its residents is vibrant and resilient," Brad Pitt recently said through his Foundation. "Today, the neighborhood is growing and alive w...

Brad Pitt won't face himself in best picture race

Image
Brad Pitt can relaxhe wont be competing against himself in the best picture race. At least, not as a producer. The actor already has been nominated as a producer of Moneyball, in which he stars, but on Friday the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences did not include Pitt as one of the four credited producers on the best picture selection The Tree of Life, in which he also stars. When Oscar nominations were announced Tuesday morning, the academy said the Tree of Life credits had not been finalized. When the film was released theatrically, five producers were listed in its credits: Pitt, his business partner Dede Gardner, director Terrence Malicks longtime collaborator Sarah Green, financier Bill Pohlad and Grant Hill, a veteran of Malicks The Thin Red Line. The academy, following standards set by the Producers Guild of America, typically limits best picture nominees to no more than three producers, a consequence of the producer stampede when 1998s Shakespeare in Love won the top O...

Brad Pitt's Top Five Movie Roles

Image
Brad Pitt will look to take home a trophy when the annual Screen Actors Guild awards air on Sunday, January 29. Pitt is nominated for his role in " Moneyball " and will hope to get some momentum for the Oscars by winning the SAG award. While Pitt was definitely impressive in the movie, this role won't go down as one of his best ever. Here is a look at the five best movie roles in the career of Brad Pitt. 1. Jeffrey - " 12 Monkeys " This movie gave Pitt his first Oscar nomination. He played a supporting role to Bruce Willis in this futuristic epic. It was a departure for Pitt. Instead of relying on his looks and smooth talk, he was scruffy and spoke at a rapid rate. The character was supposed to be crazy and Pitt definitely sold us on that. It's always nice to see an actor leave their comfort zone. 2. Louis - " Interview with the Vampire " This 1994 film sees Pitt play a wimpy type of vampire opposite the much more evil Tom Cruise . While the mov...
