Brad Pitt charity gala pulls in major star power

Brad Pitt sure knows how to round up star power for a great cause.
MTV News reported the Moneyball actor threw a charity gala in New Orleans on Saturday at the Hyatt Regency hotel for his Make It Right foundation, which serves to rebuild the city since Hurricane Katrina devastated it years ago.
And he definitely wasnt the only A-list celebrity at the event.
According to E! Online, Rihanna, Sheryl Crow, Dr. John and Snoop Dogg performed at the gala, and there were several more big names in the audience.
Pitt co-hosted the event with funny woman Ellen DeGeneres. Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey, Spike Lee, Blake Lively, Djimon Hounsou, Chris and Jada Paul, Bennett Miller and Randy Jackson served on the charitys Host Committee. NFL player Drew Brees co-emceed the musical aspect of the fundraiser, which was also sponsored by the Hyatt.
And after the charity, Parks and Recreation actor Aziz Ansari headlined the afterparty, while Seal and Kanye West performed.
Even the cooks of the events were celebs. Emeril Lagasse whipped a course inspired by traditional New Orleans foods.
The goal of the event was to raise enough money to build 150 sustainable homes in the Lower Ninth Ward, which was hit hard by the hurricane and is one of the poorest areas of the city.
