Ellen DeGeneres and Brad Pitt co-host Hurricane Katrina fundraiser
Brad Pitt has enlisted Ellen DeGeneres to help him host a fundraiser for his Make It Right Foundation on the evening of Saturday, March 10.

DeGeneres joined actor Brad Pitt over the weekend to visit the Lower Ninth Ward of New O! rleans, Louisiana which was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Pitt has been aiding the district since 2007 with his Make It Right Foundation, which plans on building 150 new affordable storm-resistant homes for the community.
The Lower Ninth Ward was one of the hardest-hit neighborhoods in the city when Katrina caused levees to fail and inundated roughly 80 percent of the city with floodwater in 2005.
The "A Night to Make It Right" fundraiser which will include performances by Kanye West, Rihanna, Seal, Snoop Dogg, Sheryl Crow and Soul Rebels. The event is being held at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans.
DeGeneres and Pitt will host the dinner, while "Parks and Recreation" star and comedian Aziz Ansari is slated to host the after party.
The 1,2000 guests purchased tickets to the event for between $1,000 and $2,500. New Orleans chef John Besh is joining forces with a team of celebrity chefs including Emeril Lagasse to produce a four course tasting menu of "the finest culinary traditions of New Orleans and beyond," according to the event's official website.
Celebrities expected to attend include Josh Brolin, Kevin Spacey, Spike Lee, Blake Lively, Chris Paul, Sean Penn, Randy Jackson and others.
The talk show host will air a segment of her visit to New Orleans on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" later in the month.
DeGeneres and Pitt have another connection, beyond their charitable ways. In December, Degeneres bought the actor's Mid-Century Modern beach house for $12 million. The house was built in 1962 on some 1.26 acres and was renovated several years ago by architect Chri! s Sorens on.
