Brad Pitt Makes a Mark in KC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. At five oclock Monday evening, Congressman Emanuel Cleaver and Kansas City Mayor Sly James say they will make an important announcement that will impact Kansas Citys economy.

Representatives from actor Brad Pitts Make It Right Foundation will also be there at the 5 p.m. news conference at the old Bancroft School at 43rd & Tracy.

Pitt, a Missouri native, started the foundation to help with housing needs in low-incomes areas around the country. The foundation is currently building 150 green homes for families in New Orleans hit hardest by Hurricane Katrina.

Its expected the foundation will be a part of a project to build housing in the area of the abandoned Bancroft School.
