Brad Pitt tries to ease our fears about those World War Z reshoots

Next year, Brad Pitt will appear in World War Z, the feature adaptation of a book centered on the zombie apocalypse. Production on the film hasn't been easy and fans are understandably worried about its outcome. But despite delays and reshoots, Pitt claims that it's not that serious.

In a recent interview, Pitt touched on the rumors surrounding the troubled film. Supposedly, director Marc Forster has less than an hour of useable footage, and Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods) was hired to revamp the final act. When speaking to HeyUGuys, Pitt assured us that it's not as bad as it seems:

"Well, it's just a big monster of a film. It's just got to work a certain way and we gotta fix it up. That's all. We get it right and it's gonna be great. It's not unusual. We can do better and this is a monster of a film so there's a lot of working parts to it."

That's a positive way of looking at it. Pitt and Goddard are showing signs of solidarity. Earlier this summer, the writer gave Collider a similar take on the events.

"I think a lot of that got blown out of proportion," revealed Goddard. "It really was like, they asked me to come look at the movie and give ideas on how to help, and that's what happened. That happens all the time, I don't know why this got blown up withWorld War Zand it suddenly became a big thing."
