Angelina Jolie talks future kids, social life

Angelina Jolie says she and Brad Pitt are not actively planning to have a new child, but adds that she "could end up pregnant."

Jolie, 36, has been busy directing ! her firs t feature film, "In the Land of Blood and Honey," which hits theaters on December 23, and spending time with life partner Brad Pitt and their six children. She is often asked in press interviews if they are thinking about expanding their family.

"There's nothing planned at the moment," Jolie told Marie Claire magazine in an interview published in its January 2012 issue. "But we just don't know. I could end up pregnant."

"Brad has expanded my life in ways I never imagined," she added. "We built a family. He is not just the love of my life, he is my family."

The sex symbol and now director also dished on her "homebody" ways and working with the female actresses from her film.

"It was nice for me to play with other girls," Jolie told Marie Claire. "I don't really have girlfriends in movies, if you've noticed... Well, I have a few girlfriends, I just ... I stay at home a lot. I'm just not very social. I don't do a lot with them, and I'm very homebound."

The Academy-Award winning actress has starred in a number of films such as "Gia," "Girl, Interrupted," "Changeling," "Wanted" and "Salt."

"I woke up one day realizing, God, I'm an actor," Jolie added. "I don't think I intended to be an actor. I think my mother wanted it for me. I loved telling stories, and I enjoyed the profession, but is it too late to be something else?"

Jolie and Pitt are also often asked if they plan to marry. Jolie said in an interview published in the October 2011 issue of Vanity Fair that there was "no secret wedding" in the works.

Jolie and Pitt, one of Hollywood's most famous couples, have been married to other people before. In May, Pitt told USA Today that marriage is "meaning more and more" to his children, adding: "So it's something we've got to look at."

In July 2010, Jolie told ABC News that she and Pitt may get married if their children asked them to do so, adding: "I think it'd be hard to say no to the kids. They're not asking. They are very aware that nothing's missing."

"In The Land of Blood and Honey" is an R-rated movie is about a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman who fall in love at the time of the Bosnian war in the 1990s and stars local actors Zana Marjanovic and Goran Kostic. The subject matter is of particular interest to Jolie, who is a UN Goodwill Ambassador who travels around the world doing humanitarian work.
