Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie among big names for 'The Counselor'

Jolie-Pitt may be set for big screen reunion

Many of you might remember a little flick called Mr. and Mrs. Smith that brought together power-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for the first time on the big screen?

Well Jolie-Pitt fans get ready for an onscreen reunion that is sure to have tongues wagging.

Acclaimed director Ridley Scott, who first worked with Brad Pitt when the actor was cast as hunky hitchhiker JD in the 1991 film Thelma & Louise, is set to direct the 48 year old actor again in The Counselor. Rumored to be cast in the film as well, is Pitts longtime partner, and mother of his children, Angelina Jolie.

The Cormac McCarthy screenplay is about a lawyer who gets involved in a vicious drug trade. It will star Michael Fassbender (X-Men-First Class, Inglorious Bastards) in the lead role. Also reported to star in the film is No Country for Old Men actor, and Penelope Cruz's main squeeze, Javier Bardem.
The film is currently in preproduction and is set to begin filming in Europe in a few months.

Also revealed this week, Angelina Jolie will play the evil queen Malificent from Disneys classic film, Sleeping Beauty.

Jolie spoke about the film It's a really great script. I'm having a lot of fun.! I've al ready got my horns fitted. My kids are very happy."

Malificent is set to be released March 14th 2014.
