Finally. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie announced their engagement on 13 April, eight years after they first met on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith.

Brad popped the question with a $250,000 (155,000) diamond ring he spent a year designing with jeweller Robert Procop after the couple's six children kept pestering them to marry.

So how will Brad, 48, and Ange, 36, celebrate their big day? Weirdly, of course! Sources say they want an 'elegant but intimate' weekend-long fete at their Chteau Miraval estate in Provence, France.

They'll invite 100 close friends - including Matt Damon, George Clooney and Gwen Stefani - and ask the local mayor to conduct the service, drawing on Buddhism, Islam and Christianity.
