He may not be married to Angelina, have a rainbow family or enjoy global success as a movie star, but the second most famous member of the Pitt family seems content as an average family man.

Brad's younger brother has stepped into the spotlight in a new ad for Virgin Mobile Australia, which advocates a 'fair go' for all by going against the standard celebrity endorsement.

The 45-year-old father of three compares his famous brother's lifestyle to his more sedate suburban existence, poking fun at his life as he guides viewers through his home in an apron and chinos.

But while Doug's life might be lacking in glitz and glam - he's still a lot better off than some other superstar siblings.

Eddie Murphy's brother Charlie lived in the shadows as his security guard, before he got fired.

Sean Connery's younger brother Neil craved his sibling's success so much, he created a spoof of his iconic role as Agent 007.

But Doug Pitt is now a step closer to his brother's celebrity status the ad has gone viral with over 300,000 views since it went live a week ago.
