Brad Pitt buys 5mn luxury boat

London, March 24 (ANI): Brad Pitt has purchased a luxury yacht worth 5 million pounds for his family.

The actor, who has six children with actress Angelina Jolie, bought the boat after selling a share of his French vineyard at Chateau Miraval to winemaker Marc Perrin.

The 49-year-old actor's friend Paul Allen, the Microsoft co-founder, told him he could offset the cost of buying the 75ft schooner by chartering it out to the well-heeled when he was away filming, the Sun reported.

A source said Pitt always wanted a classic sail yacht and this one is perfect for his as it sleeps eight but you can have more on board if you are just going out for a day.

The source added that the 'Thelma 'n' Louise' actor loved the idea of taking the kids out around the islands along the coast of the South of France near St Tropez. (ANI)
