Brad Pitt 'Wishes Jennifer Aniston Luck On Engagement With Justin Theroux'

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston might have divorced over seven years ago, but that didn't stop the actor from giving Jen a call to congratulate her on her engagement.

The 'Moneyball' actor heard the news that Jen had accepted Justin's proposal last week, so he allegedly picked up the phone to give her a ring and apparently they shared a joke about him attending the wedding.

A source has told the Mirror: "Brad gave Jen a quick call to say how pleased he was to hear that she was getting married.

"He jokingly asked if he should 'save the date', and they both laughed, but told her in all seriousness that he was really happy for her and Justin."

The insider added: "He wished her luck and told her he hopes they're very happy together."

Justin proposed on his 41st birthday on Friday, just a year after the couple started dating. Its thought that the 'Wanderlust' star got down on one knee at the Blue Hill restaurant in Greenwich Village, New York.

Brad was rumoured to be marrying his partner of seven years, Angelina Jolie in a French ceremony this weekend, with a French mayor reportedly confirming the rumours.

Now Michael Latz, the mayor of Correns has denied the report, and said: "It's nonsense. I've had 50 phone calls and I am telling everyone to get lost because this is tiresome and irritates me.

"I am going to pursue them (Hello) for misleading statements."

Although a source has told the Mirror that Jen has taken the opportunity to return the well wishes to Brad.

"Brad and Angelina are due to marry in the next fe! w weeks and she wished him all the best for his wedding, too," the source revealed.
