Hicks: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may marry this weekend
Brangelina is having a big, fancy party this weekend in France, leading some to speculate they're getting married.
Impossible. We didn't get an invite.
Nevertheless, the engaged couple will be opening their Chateau Miraval home to family and friends, including the actor's parents, Jane and Bill Pitt, longtime pal George Clooney, and top jeweler Robert Procop, who designed Jolie's $250,000 diamond and platinum engagement ring, according to The Sun.
Are we sure it's not Clooney who's marrying Pitt?
Preparations are already underway for the Saturday's party, with guests already arriving.
Some reports suggest the wingding is for Pitt's parents' 50th wedding anniversary, which is Aug. 11. Or maybe they'll try to get more bang for their buck.
"Brad flew in to oversee preparations, but they're all here now," a source told The Sun. "They say it's for Jane and Bill, but some think this could be it. Even Angelina's private jeweler is here."
So what? Lots of us have our private jewelers over all the time.
The paper also reported Pitt bought Jolie a pricey Patek Philippe watch as a "pre-wedding" gift.
Pitt, 48, and Jolie, 37, met on the set of the hit film "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" in 2005 and have six kids together.
